NN1 Dev Club

NN1 is a simply lovely local meetup that made me wish I lived closer to Northampton. The crowd is a mix of old hands and new graduates, working across a range of tech, and everyone is super friendly and excited to share ideas.

Developer of sorts at Firefox

NN1 Dev Club has had a tremendous positive impact on our students who have engaged with the meetups. It has given them valuable opportunities to connect with local developers, hear directly from people working in industry. This kind of local, accessible industry engagement is incredibly valuable, and we are grateful for the role NN1 Dev Club is playing.

NN1 is the kind of fantastic meet-up that’s exactly what I love: a great community of people coming together and sharing a common passion. I’m glad it exists, it’s essential for the community and Pawel and co do an amazing job!

Keith Cirkel

Staff Engineer at Mozilla

NN1 has built an incredibly community at the perfect time. The effort that goes into events has made for great experiences, and the work they do to highlight and support their members and the local area goes even further. Whether you're tech curious, or passionate about the details, it's an inviting and supportive group, and would recommend attending one of their events and supporting to anyone!

Eric Bye

Managing Director and AI Transformation Expert

I really enjoy attending NN1 Dev Club. The variety of speakers keeps every event fresh and technically engaging, and there’s always something interesting to take away from it. It’s also a genuinely well run meet up with a relaxed atmosphere, which makes it easy to chat with like-minded people and feel part of the community. Events like this are incredibly valuable for bringing developers together, and NN1 Dev Club does an amazing job of creating that space.

Web Consultant

As a designer, when I first heard about the NN1 Dev Club, I wasn’t particularly interested because I wrongly assumed, based on the name, that it was only for developers and engineers. I quickly realised the community is open to anyone with a passion for tech, regardless of their role or background. Huge shout-out to Paweł and Darren for organising these meetups and creating a space where people from across the tech community can connect!

Jana Halfarova

Product / UX Designer

Working remotely, I really appreciate having a local community of like-minded people to connect with. The meetups are a great mix of relaxed social interaction and genuinely interesting talks from speakers covering all sorts of topics. Every time I’ve been along, it’s been great to catch up with friends and geek out over tech.

Gregory Assasie

Technical Lead at MoonPay

NN1.dev has genuinely been game changing for me. Having an active Discord full of local developers has been amazing, and access to the Vulcan Works space has made it so much easier to actually meet people, collaborate, and feel part of a real tech community locally instead of just existing online. I’ve learned loads already and I’m really looking forward to future events.

Cloud Ops Engineer

NN1 has become the biggest talk of the town in the tech community. At NN1 events, you get to meet others from the region and discover small stories from the real world. It's really friendly; regulars have become friends. We're always ready to welcome new members and network with real people. Each talk is always interesting, sparks thought, and fuels the imagination. Recommend for everyone in the space.

John Cross

Software Engineer

A great meetup for prospective and existing developers, something the town was sorely lacking and helps massively to build the community of software developers here. Every other month I get to learn about someone’s passion project/obsession that normally I’d never have a clue about. Thanks to the organisers as it’s completely free and a credit to Northampton.

Jacob White

Application Analyst

A wonderful opportunity to meet and chat with fellow techy people in the area. Interesting talks & presentations. (And the free pizza is great too!)

Asasdair Foxon

Senior Software Engineer

NN1 Dev Club is a great group of people. I'm a designer rather than a developer, and I've always felt right at home; it's genuinely inclusive of anyone working in or around tech, whatever their role. Every event I've been to has been welcoming, interesting, and full of good conversations. Northampton is lucky to have it.
